Hi, I'm Verity.

I am a multi-creative content copywriter, journalist and photographer whose clients include a range of local and national press, B2C, B2B and DTC businesses.

When I'm not agonising over apostrophes and clicking a camera shutter, I'm happiest hiking, exploring overseas, and doing anything on open water (salty or fresh).

I've honed my skills in crafting engaging copy for diverse audiences, successfully executing projects for global brands like Nestle, Filofax, and Google, taking them from concept to completion. I offer comprehensive editorial expertise, including storylining, structural editing, narrative, line editing, and proofreading. I’m used to picking up any project from protein yoghurt to private schools, deftly switching between B2B, B2C, and DTC without breaking a sweat. I’m comfortable ideating trending TikToks, authoring snappy straplines, and researching insightful LinkedIn thought leadership.

My portfolio includes over 120 illustrated press articles published in a variety of well-known national press publications, meeting tight deadlines and conducting insightful interviews and photoshoots with a diverse range of individuals and businesses, such as the world's first carbon-neutral rum distillery, Glastonbury Festival’s vicar, and an English truffle-hunting business.

To date I have worked with a variety of national press as a journalist and photographer, covering food, arts and lifestyle sectors. These have included The Art of Design, Digital Photographer, Bristol Magazine, The Great Outdoors Magazine, Devon Life, Hampshire Life, Dorset Life, Somerset Life, and The Exeter Magazine, to name a few.

I also spent four very happy years writing, conceptualising and providing imagery for a new seasonal food column with Dorset Life: The Dorset Magazine, where I had the delightful task of updating historical recipes for a modern audience.

I welcome commissions and ideas for collaborations involving words or photography (or even both!). Hit me up if you've got an exciting one.
